Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Opening Late 2026: The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) will provide comprehensive, short-term treatment for children and teens ages eight to 17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional or relational challenges. This program is designed to help youth safely remain in their homes and communities while receiving intensive clinical support to build coping skills, strengthen relationships and develop strategies to manage emotions and behaviors effectively.

Why Intensive Outpatient Treatment Might Be the Right Fit

Intensive outpatient treatment will offer a middle ground between inpatient treatment and traditional outpatient therapy. It will be ideal for youth who need more structure and support than weekly therapy but do not require day treatment.

Intensive outpatient treatment will give families the intensive clinical support they need while keeping youth connected to school, family and daily routines. This program is designed to be a bridge, offering more support than basic outpatient care, but less intensive than our partial hospitalization program (PHP). It can be a helpful next step after a higher level of care or a stronger option if current services aren’t meeting a child’s needs.

Highlights of IOP

IOP is built around evidence-based therapies and trauma-informed care to help youth overcome challenges and build resilience. Features will include:

  • Comprehensive assessment
  • Individualized treatment plan
  • Psychiatric services
  • Case management
  • Direct one-to-one supervision
  • Individual and family therapy (as needed)
  • Art, horticulture, music and recreational therapy
  • Crisis intervention support
  • Psycho-educational groups
